The CATE dining table is designed to be a sculptural centerpiece with generous seating. Its pedestal base is hand-shaped and tapered, a labor-intensive process that reflects the level of care and craftsmanship that goes into each piece. The solid wood top is approximately 1¼″ thick and finished with a softly under-beveled edge.

Built from FAS-grade kiln-dried hardwood, each CATE table is made to order in our Connecticut workshop.

The standard CATE is offered with an elliptical top and a coordinating pedestal base, though we’ve also created custom variations with oval or pill-shaped tops and bases. If you’re interested in a different profile, feel free to reach out to discuss what’s possible.

Wood & Finishes

Oiled Walnut & Oiled White Oak

Finished with a natural hardwax oil that enhances tone while offering protection against water and stains. This finish has a soft, low-sheen look and a natural feel under hand. It may require periodic reapplication in high-use areas.

Natural Walnut, White Oak & Ash

Finished with a water-based clear matte protective coat that creates a durable surface. Resistant to water, stains, and everyday wear. Our lowest-maintenance option and ideal for high-traffic areas.

Shipping & Delivery

Clients in most of New England and the NYC metro area receive white glove delivery. For locations outside our white glove region, delivery is arranged by appointment in one of the following ways:

  • Shipper-Assisted Delivery
    Your item is blanket-wrapped and delivered without a pallet. The driver will assist in bringing the piece inside. For larger items, an additional person may be needed.
  • Freight Delivery
    If shipper-assisted delivery is unavailable, the item will ship on a pallet and be delivered curbside or to your driveway. The freight carrier does not assist with unpacking or moving the piece indoors.

Flat-rate shipping is applied at checkout for most areas. Delivery access must be confirmed prior to shipment. Clients are responsible for ensuring the piece will fit through doorways, stairwells, and elevators.
