The butcher block top features edge grain raw sugar maple beams, approximately 3 inches thick. Sugar maple is renowned as the premier choice for butcher blocks due to its durability. It is a tight-grained, naturally sanitary hardwood, making it an ideal food prep station! The sturdy base and shelves, crafted from the same quality maple, will be painted in a color of your choice. Designed with practicality in mind, the utensil drawer has a classic shaker style front, complemented by solid appliance pulls, which can be customized as well. Alternatively, a stationary version can be crafted at the same height if preferred without the casters. To ensure the longevity and safety of the butcher block, it is pre-conditioned with beeswax and food-safe mineral oil, safeguarding the natural beauty of the wood while making it ready for immediate culinary use!
