Our custom CATE dining table, designed to be the centerpiece of your dining room, is expertly crafted from premium quarter-sawn American white oak. Finished with our multi-step seawashed process, this technique beautifully highlights the natural wood grain. The clean, simple pedestal base is meticulously hand-shaped into a tapered oval design, offering maximum legroom for comfortable seating. Supporting a 1¼-inch thick tabletop, the base complements the sleek, minimalist look of the under-beveled edge.
Compact yet versatile, the table’s design suits both large and small dining spaces. On walnut, we apply a water- and stain-resistant hardwax oil to enhance its deep brown tones and rich grain. For white oak and ash, we use a clear matte protective finish that resists water and stains while preserving the natural texture and color of the wood.
Crafted from premium FAS kiln-dried lumber with minimal knots, the CATE dining table is built to last for generations. For clients outside our white glove delivery region, items are typically delivered by appointment in one of two ways:
In most cases, your item will be carefully wrapped and delivered without the need for a pallet, eliminating pallet waste. The shipper will assist in bringing the item into your home, but additional help may be required depending on the size and weight of the item.
Each piece from Nutmeg Table Company is made to order in our Connecticut workshop. Measurements are approximate, and slight variations may occur, reflecting the unique nature of handcrafted furniture.
